Ravenshaw Collegiate School is the oldest High School of Odisha which was established in 1851 by Thomas Edward Ravenshaw in the millennium city CUTTACK of Odisha. In the initial years of the school, the Ravenshaw Junior College also used to function from the same campus until Ravenshaw College (now Ravenshaw University) was established. A new building was constructed in 1905, and the school is still operating from this heritage building.
The current building in which the school operates was established in the year 1905. Before 1905 the school operated from adjacent buildings of the Odisha Bar Council. In 2006 Government of Odisha sanctioned Rs. 4 Crores for the school development but later on it was scrapped due to some unknown reasons. The campus of the school is spread across 8 acres of land in the River Bank of Kathajodi. In the near vicinity of the school some high-profile offices like High Court of Odisha, District Collectorate of Cuttack, State Treasury of Odisha and Odisha Revenue Board are also present. The school has a playground inside its campuses and own another mini stadium known as Sunshine Fields a few kilometers away from the school. The school has two hostels with a combined capacity of 200 inmates. The school has also two auditoriums inside the campus.

The Registered office of the Association shall be in the premises of the Ravenshaw Collegiate School.
The “Ravenshaw Collegiate School old School’s Association, shall be registered under the provision of Society Registration Act of the Govt. Of India 1860.
To promote and develop the condition of the students of the School relating to healthy growth of education
To publish monthly journals describing the activities of the Institution.
To held cultural competitions, seminars, cultural shows, competitions of on sports etc. at least once a year.
To award at least three scholarships two for M.E. Students and one for Matriculation student which will be named merit cum poverty.
To held cultural week once a year.
To raise funds for the upliftment of the Institution.

If any old student desires to be the member of general body he/she shall fill up the members from addressing general Secretary, on payment of Rs.12/- (Rupees Twelve) and admission fees of Rupees two totaling Rupees fourteen. The amount shall be paid to General Secretary
The General Secretary after receipt of the membership form of the proposed candidate shall place before the Executive Committee within a week after receipt of Application form of membership.
The annual membership Rs.12/- (Rupees Twelve) excluding admission fee Rupees two
The Admission fee shall be paid once.

All the office bearers shall be elected in the annual General body meeting either by raising of hands or by Secret ballot which will be proposed and seconded.
Eight Executive members shall be elected in annual General Body meeting in the procedure laid down in serial “A” above relating to selection of office-bearers.
The rest four members shall be nominated by the President in consultation within a week after date of General body meeting.
In case of nomination of four members to the Executive committee creates vacuum the decision of the Executive committee shall be final.
The executive committee shall continue for two years after the date of election
The executive Committee shall continue in the office till the new executive committee is elected.
The management of the old student association shall rest in executive committee.
The Executive Committee shall be responsible to the General body for the smooth and healthy management of the Institution
The Executive Committee shall raise funds/donations/subscription for the financial position of the organization.
The Executive Committee recommends general body for the management of the Constitution.
The Executive Committee shall frame rules from time to time which shall be concurred by the General Body.
The Executive Committee shall formulate developmental schemes.
The Executive Committee shall pass audit report of the Organization.
The Executive Committee shall approve annual report of General Secretary and proposed budget estimate of the Organization.
The Executive Committee shall appoint paid employees and discharge paid employees.
The Executive Committee shall frame rules for the paid employees.
The Executive Committee shall assign different duties among the three Joint Secretaries.
The Executive Committee may co-opt two more members to Executive Committee when need arisen either from General body members or from life members.
The Executive Committee shall meet at least once a month which will be convened by General Secretary.
The requisitioned meeting shall be convened by the General Secretary.......
The Quorum of any sort of Executive Committee shall be five.
All decisions of the Executive Committee shall be made by the majority of votes of members.
The General Secretary shall circulate the meeting notice of the executive committee atleast three days before the commencement of the meeting which shall include date, place, time for discussion (Agenda).
In case of emergent on requisitioned meeting of the Executive Committee no agenda shall be given but date, time and place shall be circulated to members.
In absence of president, working president or Vice-president or one of the members of the Executive Committee duly proponed and seconded from the members present shall preside over the meeting.
President- The president shall preside over the Executive Committee Meeting and General Body meeting in case of urgent day to day problems. The decision of the President is final subject to the approval of the Executive Committee. The President is head of Institution.
Working President:- The Working President shall use presidential powers in absence of the President.
General Secretary :- The General Secretary shall be chief executive officer of the Institution. All communications shall be attended to and disposed of by General Secretary. The General Secretary shall receive money on behalf of the Institution and he shall make all payments for the Institution. He shall maintain accounts. He shall work under the General Supervision of the President. He shall produce place policy matters before Executive Committee. He shall maintain following records:
The Joint Secretaries shall effectively cooperate with General Secretary in respect of day to day management of the Institution.
Different duties shall be assigned to Joint Secretary of the decision of the Executive Committee.
(a)All sorts of receipts and payment vouchers shall be counter signed by the Treasurer after the same is signed by the General Secretary.
The accounts maintained by the General Secretary shall be counter signed and checked by the Treasurer.
The accounts of the Institution shall be audited either by the chartered accountant or by recognized auditor of the Govt. of Orissa.
The financial year of the Institution shall begin from 1st April and close on the 31st March according to the English calendar.
The audit report shall be available to the members in July of each year according to English calendar.
The annual General meeting of the Institution shall be held once a year.

The office bearer and members of the Executive Committees laid down in the constitution shall be held in the second General Body meeting.
The election of Office-bearers and members of the executive committee may be deferred upto three years under special circumstances in accordance with decision of the Executive Committee.
The quorum of each annual General Body meeting shall be one fourth of the total members as per membership register till 31st March of each year.
In respect of amendment of the constitution by General Body meeting, the quorum of such General Body Meeting shall be two third.
In case of extraordinary general body meeting, the quorum shall be one fourth.
The election of office bearers and executive members shall be held only in second annual General Body meeting.
The notice of all sorts of annual general body meeting shall be circulated to members before ten days of the commencement of the meeting which includes the following:
The General Body Meeting shall be postponed in pursuance of the decision of Executive Committee.
Any member, any executive member, or any office bearer of the Association—either he/she misappropriate funds, materials, articles / does anti-institutional activities / creates highhandedness / does illegal activities in contravention of the ideology of the institution, does groupism in the institution on intention — in such cases the concerned person, after the proof of the allegation in the procedure to be adopted by the Executive Committee, shall be removed from the institution and the institution shall take legal action against the concerned person.
Any Executive member or office bearer who remains absent in three consecutive meetings shall be ceased from the membership of the Executive Committee in pursuance of the decision of the Executive Committee.
In case of resignation of any elected office-bearer / Executive member, an extraordinary General Body meeting shall be governed by the General Secretary for acceptance of resignation, and in that case, except the resigned office bearer / Executive member, all other office bearers and members of Executive Committee shall continue in office till its term. In case of vacancy in Executive Committee, the same shall be filled in out of the general body members as will be decided by the Executive Committee.
The members of the General Body / Executive Committee shall pay Rs.12/- (Rupees twelve) annually to the General Secretary and obtain receipt thereof. The annual membership shall be given effect from April to March according to English calendar.
The membership fees shall be enhanced in accordance with decision of the Executive Committee.
No rules and regulations shall be framed by the Executive Committee in violation of the constitution. The Executive Committee shall frame rules for the day-to-day management of the institution.
The accounts of the institution shall be operated jointly by the General Secretary and Treasurer.
All sorts of money received by the General Secretary for the institution shall be deposited in any scheduled bank of India having branch in Cuttack.
The General Secretary shall keep Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty) in hand for meeting urgent expenditure at a time once a month.
No amendment shall be made in constitution unless and otherwise the proposal thereof is approved by the Executive Committee.
In case major difference of opinion is created in Executive Committee meeting relating to proposal for amendment of constitution, the decision of the General Body shall be final.
The Ravenshaw Collegiate School Old Student Association shall be dissolved in pursuance of the decision of the two-third members present and vote, and upon decision and upon dissolution of the society, its assets will be handed over to a similar registered society or to Government after meeting all its debts and liabilities.
Any old student of R.C. School desires to be life member of the Association shall pay Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred) in four instalments.
Any member of the Executive Committee fails to attend three consecutive meetings of the Committee shall be ceased from the Executive Committee unless and otherwise he/she is excused.
Any member of the Association remains in arrear of membership fee at least for one year, in such case he/she shall be debarred to attend meeting of the Executive Committee and General Body until otherwise decision made by the Executive Committee.
